| subject: Audio Programmer , Blizzard Entertainment Blizzard Entertainment is looking for Audio Programmer duration - Full Time Job details: Audio Programmer Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a talented programmer who has experience in audio programming and knows the more common audio tools. This position would work closely with Blizzard's audio department while assisting in other areas of technology when needed. The ideal candidate would be someone who possesses knowledge of both audio and game programming and has worked on at least one major video game title. Requirements Strong knowledge of C++ and PC programming Knowledge of audio signal processing - mixing, sample rates, data compression, filters, reverbs, 3D positional audio, etc.. Experience with multi-channel audio (Quad, 5.1 etc.) and 3D positional audio (done both in software and hardware such as Creative Labs EAX 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, and beyond). Has the ability to write customized audio development tools for the sound designers and composers to interface directly with the game audio engines. Loves video games. Plusses Mac and cross-platform programming experience. Experience with off-the-shelf sound engines such as F-Mod, Game Coda, Miles, etc. is a plus. We may customize one of these, and/or build our own engine from the ground up. Knowledge of Win32 API's. Music and/or Sound design experience - composing/arranging, sound design, synthesis, sampling, MIDI sequencing, audio engineering/mixing, digital audio workstations, etc.. Experience in programming with interactive music and MIDI playback. Console programming experience using engines such as the X-Box XACT engine. Any knowledge or interest in Creative Labs ISACT engine.
