| subject: Audio Programmer , Relic Entertainment Relic Entertainment is looking for Audio Programmer duration - Full Time Job details: Audio Programmer OBJECTIVE Relic is looking for a sound programmer, experienced in implementing a game sound engine. Sound tools experience a plus. DirectSound or Miles Sound System experience preferred. A passion for making games sound as good or better than they look is required RESPONSIBILITIES Work with the Lead Programmer and programming team to drive the implementation of the projects technical vision via the programming team. Contribute to both code and product levels to deliver on time and on quality and adherence to internal standard set SKILLS & QUALFICIATIONS Has previously held a programming position on at least one shipped console or PC title. Education requirements include an education in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics Courses and/or experience in computer graphics, animation, numerical methods, linear algebra, vision, and computational intelligence; degree required for foreign workers An understanding of good software Engineering practices Proven understanding of 3D math Minimum of two years experience in the video game industry working on related projects. Must have at least 1 year experience & strong understanding of C++ You have extensive experience in relevant areas with strong demo programming experience Proven leadership and mentorship abilities Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Proven ability at successful multi tasking under considerable pressure Excellent knowledge of video game programming techniques An avid game player and strong interest in pushing the industry forward creatively Not essential but definite assets Experience with user interface Win32 development libraries such as MFC Experience with 3D Studio Max, Maxscript, and add-ins STL, Direct 3D, OpenGL Real-time experience Experience with the analysis, design and implementation of software systems and Artificial Intelligence sub-systems for a 3D real-time action game Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada Contact info: http://www.relic.com/careers/careers.php |
